Right now, days are weird.
Getting things done, anything, operates under different and strange conditions. We can’t leave the house. We’re living life in this beautiful and odd mixture of intimacy with our immediate family and a virtual, sometimes grainy connection with the outside world via video conferencing. For 6 to 7 weeks. One-sixth of the year.
It’s a good time for moments of reflection. And one area I like to reflect on is the how of my work. How do I get the majority of my goals and assignments done? Since my early days as a quality control engineer, I’ve always loved thinking through frameworks and procedures (I find them strangely satisfying). The mental modalities of moving things forward.
So here it goes. How does work happen for me, Zach Vander Veen?
The short answer: With some reliable tools and well-tested processes. For the next series of posts, I’ll cover what they are in greater detail. Please keep in mind the “what” of my work is usually content creation – be that articles, posts, instructions, presentations, lessons, etc.
