PD: Gmail Safety and Security for Schools

Context: Hamilton uses Gmail. Always good to know more about gmail safety.

Session led by Eric Curts who is awesome when it comes to Google Apps (and sharing with the community).

Excellent summary of how you can set up email protection for students and staff.

Side Conversations and Thoughts

  • Bouncebacks seem to make the most sense to me if a students uses a word from the bad word list.
  • North Canton blocks email sending outside the organization (for students). What about seniors and juniors? Curious as to the logic behind this given that they may have many legitimate reasons for email outside entities.
